THE BACK TO EARTH BAG

WHY THE NEW BAG? AND HOW DO I USE IT?

We have switched to using new Back to Earth Polybags made with an organic biotechnology, as part of our commitment to saving the planet.

There are many advantages to using Back to Earth Polybags and they are very easy to use. They journey is described below in four simple steps.

Protect

A bag is needed to protect your product in its journey to your front door. Our polybags are made from previously discarded materials.

They include an organic biotechnology that allows microbes in the natural environment to consume plastics, just like they would consume leaves and other organic matter.

Re-use & Recycle

We encourage you to re-use your Back to Earth bag or recycle it at a place where it is accepted.

Faster Biodegredation

If our bags are not recycled and end up in nature or landfilled, the organic ingredient in the bag attracts naturally occurring microbes which live in soil, oceans, landfills and compost.

The microbes quickly eat the bag up. In ideal conditions, your Back to Earth bag will decompose within a few years, as opposed to regular plastic, which can take hundreds to thousands of years.

Natural Remnants

Our Back to Earth bag leaves behind NO microplastics or toxic residue. In fact, they leave behind beneficial remnants like biogas and nitrogen rich compost. These gases are often collected by landfills as a source of free, clean energy and the compost enriches the soil.
