THE MAKING OF THE F-LITE G 300

THE OBJECTIVE: TO CREATE THE TOUGHEST AND MOST VERSATILE SHOE IN THE TRAINING SPACE.

Being an OG when it comes to the fitness community, we have seen every success, every failure, every athlete love, every athlete hate, and everything in-between. We have discovered over years of research and being part of the community what we needed to create in a training shoe.

BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP

We started by designing an outsole and midsole foundation that had the perfect combination of cushioning, stability and lifting support.

First was a lightweight, super-cushioned forefoot design to keep the foot comfortable at all times and ready for any running, bodyweight or functional workout. As the midsole design moved towards the back of the shoe, we started to combine a more supportive and stable base for lifting.

LIFT + RUN + MOVE

When designing the heel of the F-LITE G 300, we wanted to deliver extreme support for lifting but ensure it was lightweight and cushioned enough for a 5km run. This balance was one of the most important aspects for our team when building this shoe. So, to compliment the cushioned forefoot, we added the GRAPHENE POWERHEEL.

The GRAPHENE POWERHEEL is a hexagon-shaped block that sits directly under the heel, within the midsole. This POWERHEEL is infused with Graphene – the world’s strongest material - making it super-durable yet lightweight. The role of the GRAPHENE POWERHEEL is to keep a solid foundation for any squatting or lifting movements, whilst the outer edge of the midsole ensures your heel still has shock absorption and cushioning.

READY TO BUILD ON THE FOUNDATIONS

When the foundation was complete - we started with a lightweight, fully-engineered knit for the upper, to ensure the foot could breathe at all times. We wanted to avoid that hot feeling around the foot when training.

After we assembled the breathable base of the upper, we then needed protection. We focused around the areas that are under pressure during movements such as rope climbs and burpees. We integrated a ROPE-TEC protection in the midsole and into the protective cage that wraps around the foot. We then ensured our Graphene-infused rubber outsole continued up the front of the foot to protect the wear the shoe may get during burpees.

GRAPHENE

We had the cushioning and comfort, we had the lifting support, the ROPE-TEC protection and all the features to protect the foot during training. Next up was the most important stage, making the F-LITE G 300 the world’s toughest training shoe.

We collaborated with The National Graphene Institute at The University of Manchester in the UK to create the world’s first sports footwear to utilise Graphene, the strongest material known to man.

We used this wonder material in the outsole and POWERHEEL of the F-LITE G 300, making the outsole and midsole super-durable, lightweight, tough and flexible.
