OUR PARTNERS

We are proud to work with several partners and charities with whom we share many of the same beliefs and values.

CUMBRIA WILDLIFE TRUST

The only voluntary organisation devoted solely to the conservation of the wildlife and wildplaces of Cumbria (the home county it shares with INOV8 HQ), UK. The Trust stands up for wildlife, creates wildlife havens, and seeks to raise environmental awareness.

Formed in 1962, the Trust cares for over 38 nature reserves you can visit, campaigns for the protection of endangered habitats and species such as limestone pavements and red squirrels, and works with adults and children to discover the importance of the natural world.

In 2020, we donated £9,600 to Cumbria Wildlife Trust through our Green Friday Sale. The money is being spent on the trust’s carbon reduction projects, including the planting of trees and restoration of peatbogs. Read more.

RERUN CLOTHING

A Community Interest Company aimed at prolonging the life of running clothes and equipment, and saving them from landfill. It was founded by Dan Lawson, Team GB 24hr Ultra runner, who runs it with his wife and family, Charlotte, Lilly & Ruby.

Re-Run clothing also have a ‘Shoe Bank’ which offers free running shoes (seconds, samples & returns) and equipment to individuals and families in need or unable to afford them.

Re-Run say: “Every year it is estimated that 300,000 tonnes of used clothing goes to landfill in the UK. Extending the life of clothes by just nine months of active use can reduce carbon, water and waste footprints by around 20-30% each.”

In 2020, we delivered several drops of products, including shoes, to Re-Run.

WASTE INTO WELLBEING

A volunteer led, social project at the heart of Kendal’s Food Community, based in Cumbria, UK, close to INOV8 HQ. Food from local supermarkets, shops and bakeries which would otherwise be destined for landfill is turned into nourishing meals, provided on a pay what you can basis, or is distributed to residents in need and community groups who support them.

Throughout 2020 and into 2021, staff members from INOV8 have been assisting with food share sessions set up by Waste Into WellBeing and using one of the Get A Grip event vans to help transport and distribute food.
