VT100

Written by Amy Rusiecki

I ran Vermont 100 as my last VT100 for the foreseeable future – I’ll be stepping up as the Race Director after this year’s race. So, my run was a celebration of the enthusiasm of the VT100 volunteers, the beauty of the course, and a reminder of the passion this race inspires. I was excited to use the Race Ultras, which were perfect for the course, which featured 70 miles of dirt road and 30 miles of trails. They worked perfectly to keep my feet happy – this is the first time I haven’t had swollen feet after a 100-miler! I ended up finishing 3rd female with a new 100-mile PR of 18:47. It was a magical day, and I am excited for the next chapter of the race for me, as I take over directing.
