Reviews: The New TRAILROC Trail Running Shoes

inov-8 TRAILROC 285

Fresh for 2017, our new TRAILROC shoes are set to take the trail running market by storm. Both the TRAILROC 285 and TRAILROC 270 retain the same DNA as the previous trail running shoes by the same name but have been completely redesigned from the outsole up. We’ve worked with top athletes across the world to make sure we deliver the very best for running over hard and rocky trails, be those in The Rockies, The Alps or anywhere else.

Influential journalists and bloggers, as well as our athletes and ambassadors, have been putting the TRAILROC shoes to the test over hard and rocky terrain across the globe. Full reviews to follow but for now see below to check out some of the initial ‘first look’ reviews and social media posts.

“I could sum up my first impressions of the TRAILROC 285 as: A tough, sturdy shoe on the outside, and your foot feels really cushioned and protected inside. The outside says ‘let’s party’, the inside says ‘night on the sofa.'” – Kirsty Reade, Run 247, July 2017 (fresh from running the Lavaredo Ultra). “I had the pleasure of being involved in the feedback and design of the all new TRAILROC 270. They even took a photo of my skinny legs flying through the air in them (see above). It’s not the same shoe as the old TRAILROC, but it’s going to be just as good, if not better.” – Peter Maksimow, US international trail and mountain runner, July 2017.

“The new TRAILROC 285 is much more rugged than the original, offering more durability and longer life.” – Mud Run Guide, June 2017. Full ‘first look’ review HERE.

The best of social media #trailroc

I can think of about 7 days in my life that I can classify as “the best day ever” and they were all alpine climbs that left me totally exhausted . Climbing Mount Tupper was one of those days and looking into the distance from its summit to giants such as Sir Donald makes the possibilities of days like these seem endless. The real question is, why am I doing anything else with my time? On another note, this was the first time I took trail runners as approach shoes and it felt awesome to be so light on my feet . The @inov_8 #TRAILROC 285s had enough grip so that I never actually had to take my climbing shoes out of the packJuly 9, 2017 @lucas_really #outdoorwomen #explorebc #coalitionsun @biolite #findyourfrontier
