Greenland 50K: Colorado

Over 700 participants took to the trails for the Greenland Open Space in Larkspur, CO, the 9th Annual Greenland Trail Races . Inov-8 team athlete and reigning champ Peter Maksimow of Manitou Springs not only took the win for the third consecutive year in a row, but he also bested his own course record from 2012 by a minute.

Peter debuted the prototype X-Talon 190s during this race!

From Peter:

“I was very surprised that I was able to do what I did. My running has been almost nonexistent lately because of the achilles injury that got much worse. I wasn’t sure I would even make it through 31 miles. Well, I did and I broke my own CR from last year by almost a minute, 3:21:11. I am not sure where that came from other than my resolve to run hard (OK, along with a lot of cross training). It also secured me my second RRCA State 50K Championship. Must have been the wild colors!”
