North Face Endurance Challenge

Written by Amy Rusiecki I ran the North Face Endurance Challenge – Bear Mountain 50k. It’s a challenging and hilly course, so a great tune-up for my upcoming 100-miler. It was a perfect day – I fell into stride with a friend of mine (Kristina Folcik-Welts, a LaSportiva athlete), and the two of us gabbed the miles away, running like it was a training run. We finished together, tying for the female win (and 13th overall) with a time of 5:15:40 – only a minute behind the course record. North face Endurance I used the RocLite 268s for this race – with the rocky terrain, I knew I would need the grip and extra protection.
